Iqraa ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Iqraa mobile application (the "App"), a study and revision platform for Moroccan students. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have about your data.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information you provide

• Account information: if you sign in with Google or email, we collect your name, email address, and (for Google) profile picture.
• Profile information: your selected level (1^ère/2^ème Bac) and branch (filière), display name, avatar, school, and city if you choose to provide them.

1.2 Information generated through your use of the App

• Learning data: your quiz answers, scores, skill mastery, study/revision session history, placement-test results, and progress statistics.
• Game data: battle/match history, leaderboard rankings, coins, ELO rating, and achievements.
• Guest mode: if you use the App without an account (guest mode), we create an anonymous identifier but do not ask for personal information.

1.3 Automatically collected information

• Device and usage data: device type, operating system version, app version, and general usage statistics.
• Advertising data: our advertising partners (e.g. Google AdMob) may collect data, including advertising identifiers, to serve and measure ads.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information to:

• Provide, operate, and maintain the App and its features;
• Create and manage your account and authenticate you;
• Track your study progress, scores, and achievements;
• Enable multiplayer battles, matchmaking, and leaderboards;
• Send push notifications (only if you opt in);
• Display advertisements through Google AdMob;
• Improve the App, diagnose issues, and ensure security.

3. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored using Firebase and Google Cloud services. We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit and access controls via Firebase security rules. We retain your data only as long as necessary to provide the service or as required by law.

4. Third-Party Services

We rely on the following third parties that may process your data:

• Firebase (Google Cloud): authentication, data storage, and cloud functions (Google Privacy Policy).
• Google AdMob: advertising (Google Privacy Policy).
• Firebase Cloud Messaging: push notifications.

5. Advertising

The App is free and supported by advertising. Google AdMob may use your advertising identifier to show ads and measure their performance. You can reset your advertising identifier or opt out of ad personalisation through your device settings.

6. Children's Privacy

The App is intended for students preparing for the Moroccan Baccalauréat and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

7. Data Retention

We keep your account data while your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time — see the "Account Deletion" section below.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you;
• Request correction of inaccurate information;
• Request deletion of your account and data;
• Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page when changes are made. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
